Was in town when an oil change was due, had them check my brakes as well. Turns out they needed replacing, and soon!!! They squeezed me in before I had to leave town. Wonderful team and establishment.

I had a complicated situation with a major engine problem mixed with ‘playing’ a lot with an extended warranty company. With John’s patience and hard work and research with both me and the warranty company, the end result was beautiful and flawless. They have definitely acquired a new long term customer!

Prices just aren't competitive. After 15 years and many used cars I realized other places do just a good a job at almost half the cost. John’s Automotive does solid work but on regular basic car maintenance their prices are out of touch with the market. They claim they don't cut corners and wont bait and switch you. That is what a normal business should do anyway it shouldn't be a justification for exorbitantly high prices. They claimed they only used the best parts. I believe that's probably true. I cant verify what other shops use but as a long as they guarantee their work what difference does it make? Other businesses in CR wouldn't be operating for 20+ years if they worked customers that way. Recently they lead me to believe a brake job on my car would be quite the ordeal. When they finished and said it turned out to be simple they still stuck me with a bill almost twice as high as every other place in town I called. Those parts they put in must be indestructible. As someone that has used their shop many times throughout the past 15 years I will most likely not be returning. Response to owner: Don't insult me by calling me cheap. I never said anything about wanting cheap service I'm talking about a reasonable price. I've spent a small fortune there over the years . I guess I trusted your service manager when he said it needed a lot of work in that area (the brakes). As in it would take an extra amount of labor and time to get the job done which to me justified a higher price tag. Instead you told me it was a simple job and nothing out of the ordinary when it was finished.

They always get me in as soon as they can and tell me what needs to be done and how much it will cost. It's why I keep coming back.

Reasonably priced, great service and honest. They won't sell you something you don't need.

I am not a car person. John's automotive service did not make me feel dumb for not being a car person. everything has been explained to me in plain language that makes sense and all prices were cleanly laid out. will absolutely come here again.

I am out of state but I hired this shop to do an inspection of a very track capable sports car at a nearby dealership I was considering to purchase. They found nothing conclusive that was majorly wrong with the vehicle, but the issues with paint that would indicate repainted front bumper cover, minor mechanical faults and the GMVIS (GM Vehicle Inquiry Services) report made me suspect there might be undeclared damage in the front due to heavy road course (track) use. There were also issues with the alignment, which can be due to slight frame damage or just natural wander over vehicle use. I did not need to purchase right now, and so can afford to wait. Before purchasing a vehicle I need to be absolutely sure of the history of the vehicle I am getting. I dealt with Al and Andy, and they both spent a long time going over any questions and the step by step of what they found and did not find. I would use them again if I needed inspection services or if I was local to the area.

Very fair pricing and great service! I had the front brakes replaced on my 2012 Toyota RAV4 and Injector on our 2016 BuickEnclave. Both were done in a timely manner and for the price quoted. They are very customer focused and I would definitely recommend this shop for all your repair needs.
